The National Oceanographic Data Centre (NODC) has a long and extensive experience in the management and archiving of marine data acquired through participation in several international projects (MTP II/MATER, MEDAR/MEDATLAS, SeaDataNet, ODIP, EMODnet being the most important). The NODC historical database archives more than 300 million measurements of physical and biogeochemical parameters, currents, wave motion, sea levels and meteorological data measured in the Mediterranean Sea and adjacent sea basins from 1880 to the present day. The information is fully validated and constantly updated. It is accessible via the NODC website and fully integrated into the European network of data centres and the Blue Data Infrastructures.

Abstract
The National Oceanographic Data Centre (NODC) has a long and extensive experience in the management and archiving of marine data acquired through participation in several international projects (MTP II/MATER, MEDAR/MEDATLAS, SeaDataNet, ODIP, EMODnet being the most important). The NODC historical database archives more than 300 million measurements of physical and biogeochemical parameters, currents, wave motion, sea levels and meteorological data measured in the Mediterranean Sea and adjacent sea basins from 1880 to the present day. The information is fully validated and constantly updated. It is accessible via the NODC website and fully integrated into the European network of data centres and the Blue Data Infrastructures.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
