Abstract

Web based data systems for scientific research must consider the social aspects of Science. Modern Epistemology distinguish four steps in the innovation development: Problematization, Interessement, Enrolment and Mobilization of allies. While the first and the last have already been considered within collaborative systems, the two central activities still need to be addressed. Here a solution is proposed that, hinging on the mutual benefits that comes from data sharing, could be used to gather working groups and eventually foster the collaborative attitude of scientists involved in seismic data analysis.
