FUGRO OCEANSISMICA S.p.A. is contracted to perform a well site survey over potential drilling locations offshore Turkey (Black Sea). The survey is to be performed from the R/V OGS EXPLORA and includes the acquisition of high quality analogue geophysical sub-bottom profiler and Multibeam Bathymetry data, as well as 2D High Resolution Seismic (2DHR) data. The scope of the Survey is to provide the seabed and shallow sub-seabed information necessary to support Shallow Hazard/Obstructions Evaluations necessary to meet Turkish offshore drill permitting requirements and ExxonMobil’s OIMS Shallow Drilling Hazards Evaluation requirements. The survey at each of the proposed locations will include: • 2DHR seismic data • MBES data • SBP data The multi-channel seismic line plan for each of the six (6) 2DHR Survey Sites (A, B, F, G, H, & I) will be based on a grid composed of primary lines spaced at 200 m intervals and secondary lines spaced at 500 m intervals. All programmed lines will be recorded with a minimum line run-in distance of 1.5 x active streamer length (unobstructed areas) and completed with a 2250m run-out to provide full fold coverage and migration aperture. Multibeam Echosounder (MBES) and Sub-Bottom Profiler (SBP) data will also be acquired during the well site surveys. The MBES and SBP data will be collected concurrently along the programmed 2DHR seismic lines, as well as during migration aperture run-in, run-out, half cable shooting run-out, all through line turn and entire run-in setups. Effectively, an additional 5 km of MBES and SBP data will be acquired on each side of each final 2DHR Survey Sites.
