Abstract
An integrated web-based seismic data portal can effectively support collaborative research in the field of geophysics. In this context, user-perceived performance and usability of the system is of paramount importance. New technologies such as Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) can improve user interaction, but need to be exploited in a judicious manner. Scope, difficulties and necessary paradigm shifts are considered from the experience of integrating SVG in an open-source web-based seismic data portal.File in questo prodotto:
