The Seismological research Centre (Centro di Ricerche Sismologiche, CRS, http://www.crs.inogs.it/) of the Italian National Institute for Experimental Oceanography and Geophysics (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale, OGS, http://www.inogs.it/) is running the seismic network of North-Eastern Italy (NEI). Since 2002 OGS-CRS is making use of the Antelope software suite for collecting, analyzing, storing and exchanging seismic data from the NEI seismic network and other local seismic networks located also in the neighbouring countries Slovenia and Austria, in the framework of the EU Interreg IIIA project “Trans-national seismological networks in the South-Eastern Alps”. Antelope is able to integrate data from different types of instrumentation (short period and broad band seismometers as well as accelerometric sensors) and it greatly facilitates real time data exchange. It has automatic tools to detect and locate earthquakes occurring both locally and worldwide with different magnitudo estimations (ML, mB and Ms). Furthermore, it dispatches alert messages by e-mail and Short Message Service (SMS) over mobile phones and has tools to automatically update web pages describing the observed seismicity.

Abstract
The Seismological research Centre (Centro di Ricerche Sismologiche, CRS, http://www.crs.inogs.it/) of the Italian National Institute for Experimental Oceanography and Geophysics (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale, OGS, http://www.inogs.it/) is running the seismic network of North-Eastern Italy (NEI). Antelope is able to integrate data from different types of instrumentation (short period and broad band seismometers as well as accelerometric sensors) and it greatly facilitates real time data exchange.
