In this elaborate there are summarized the results of the high resolution acoustic investigation, performed with a sub-bottom profiler Chirp Datasonics, on some rock outcrops on the seafloor of the Trieste Gulf. The main objective has been to define the buried geometry of these rocky bodies with the purpose to verify their continuity, and therefore genetic relationship, with the deposits of TST (Transgressive System Tract) or within the underlying deposits of the LST (Lowstand System Tract) system.
