OASIS is the new information system implemented to organize, store, and allow access to the OGS seismological instrumental data. These data consist, in short, of information on the station sites, continuous waveform data, waveform data for selected events, and a ground-motion database. OASIS comprises a database, a double archive of digital waveforms, and a web interface, set up on a specifically devoted and redundant hardware infrastructure. Data are from both permanent and temporary networks, and about 180 instrumented sites are managed, at present. The goal of OASIS is in allowing the organization and secure storage of a significant quantity of seismological data while making the data readily available to the whole scientific community. Much of the data come from more than 20 years of instrumental monitoring performed by OGS in northeastern Italy. Moreover, a remarkable amount of data comes from several other research projects carried out in specific areas of Italy as well. Together, they represent a valuable heritage that can be used in future studies related to specific seismic events or sequences or that are focused on specific geographical regions.

Abstract
Together, they represent a valuable heritage that can be used in future studies related to specific seismic events or sequences or that are focused on specific geographical regions.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
