The study of the contribution of dissolved and particulate organic, the dissolved humic fractions and the origin of particulate organic matter in different seasonal periods was our goal. The highest concentrations of dissolved and particulate organic carbon were found at site influenced by urban wastewaters of Mestre while the lower values have been observed in the lagoon inlet of Lido. The main part of the organic carbon present in the lagoon waters is in the dissolved form (79±6 %). d13C in the suspended organic matter values showed a higher contribution of terrestrial organic matter at Fusina and Marghera sites, confirmed by the spectroscopic ratios of dissolved humic and fulvic acids.

Abstract
The study of the contribution of dissolved and particulate organic, the dissolved humic fractions and the origin of particulate organic matter in different seasonal periods was our goal. The highest concentrations of dissolved and particulate organic carbon were found at site influenced by urban wastewaters of Mestre while the lower values have been observed in the lagoon inlet of Lido. The main part of the organic carbon present in the lagoon waters is in the dissolved form (79±6 %). d13C in the suspended organic matter values showed a higher contribution of terrestrial organic matter at Fusina and Marghera sites, confirmed by the spectroscopic ratios of dissolved humic and fulvic acids.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
