The late Maastrichtian deposits of the Padriciano and Dolenja Vas sequences are mainly characterized by limestones of restricted and very restricted settings. These limestones present a monospecific or oligospecific rudist fauna characterized by Apricardia specimens and the Bournonia-Apricardia assemblage, respectively. The Maastrichtian beds of Padriciano and Dolenja Vas are capped by a "breccia" at the K/T boundary, which records the decline of the rudists and other Cretaceous taxa such as the foraminifers Fleuryana adriatica DE CASTRO, DROBNE & GUŠIC, Rhapydionina liburnica (STACHE), Cuneolina ketini INAN and Cuneolina cylindrica HENSON.

Abstract
The late Maastrichtian deposits of the Padriciano and Dolenja Vas sequences are mainly characterized by limestones of restricted and very restricted settings. These limestones present a monospecific or oligospecific rudist fauna characterized by Apricardia specimens and the Bournonia-Apricardia assemblage, respectively. The Maastrichtian beds of Padriciano and Dolenja Vas are capped by a "breccia" at the K/T boundary, which records the decline of the rudists and other Cretaceous taxa such as the foraminifers Fleuryana adriatica DE CASTRO, DROBNE & GUŠIC, Rhapydionina liburnica (STACHE), Cuneolina ketini INAN and Cuneolina cylindrica HENSON.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
