Coupled Mediterranean ecomodel of phosphorus and nitrogen cycles

This three-dimensional ecological model represents the nitrogen and phosphorus cycles giving the temporal and spatial evolution of ten aggregated compartments: the inorganic nitrogen, divided in its oxidized and reduced forms, the inorganic phosphorus, the dissolved oxygen, two size-fractionated phytoplankton groups, the zooplankton, and the organic detrital matter divided in its nitrogenous, phosphorous and carbonaceous components.
