The report is a feasibility study within the Geosteering Project Salt Mine Test, carried out later in a salt mine in Germany. The study includes the modeling of the borehole signals with azimuthal symmetry. The modeling simulates 3D waves in a multi-domain 2D Chebyshev mesh. The purpose is to evaluate the wavefields produced by a horizontal source or by a pressure source in the borehole and to evaluate the acoustic velocity of drilling mud used in the borehole for tube wave analysis. The study includes also the preparation of the acquisition layout for subsequent field testing and plan proposal. The objective is to collect a sequence of measurements to determine the overall sources characteristics, the radiation pattern and directivity of the sources and the sources efficiency.

Abstract
The objective is to collect a sequence of measurements to determine the overall sources characteristics, the radiation pattern and directivity of the sources and the sources efficiency.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
