A sensitivity analysis has been performed of an eutrophycation model which describes shallow water envinroment colonized by macroalgae (Ulva rigida). The model follows the evolution of four state variables: macroalgae, nitrogen concentration in macroalgae, nitrogen as detritus and dissolved oxygen. The model is forced by yearly patterns of temperature, light intensity, phytoplankton, and nutrients concentration obtained by interpolating data collected in the lagoon of Venice. Macroalgae density and Dissolved Oxygen are model output. The sensitivity analysis indicates that model output is mainly affected by the parameters related to the influence of light. It also evidences that an higher photosyntethic efficiency does not necessarily yields higher biomass level.

Abstract
It also evidences that an higher photosyntethic efficiency does not necessarily yields higher biomass level.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
