Abstract
To assess the possible effects of an invasion of non-indigenous thermophilic species on themarine ecosystem functioning, a medium-complexity food-web model was applied to explore differenttemperature scenarios. The analysis was performed to describe the response of different compartmentsto a linear temperature increment. Results show that the model may prove a useful tool, since non-lineardynamics have been highlighted. Moreover, this approach allows us to distinguish between the maindrivers (increasing temperature vs. trophic interactions) affecting the system components.File in questo prodotto:
